Download Jaiku widget

You need to have a Jaiku API key to set the widget up and running:

  1. Download the widget using the link above. Open the zip file and double click the widget icon to install it to Dashboard.
  2. Log in to
  3. Go to for your personal key.
  4. Copy the API key to the clipboard and paste it into Personal key field on the widget setting pane. Write also your screen name and click Done.
  5. Start writing new jaikus and check the results from your personal Jaiku page.

Note: There is currently a known issue in Jaiku API that affects the widget. If you write something to all three location fields, country is dropped off when the data is processed in the Jaiku system. The friendly Jaiku people are aware of the problem, and wipe it away someday.

If you find any issues with the widget, please provide the bug reports here in the blog.

You are encouraged to use, distribute and advertise the widget as you see fit. We own the rights to the code and other material, at least for the time being. If you are interested in developing this further, please get in touch.
