Having a blog a company provides an interactive communication channel that combines the corporate communication, customers and other stakeholders into a community. The community provides added value to the company, for example, in test marketing of ideas or getting immediate feedback.
A corporate blog may be an official communication channel, or it can be an opportunity for the company’s employees to produce content to the network.

Blog is a time oriented communication channel:
- Focus in authors
- The blog entries are shown in a chronological order, the newest on top
- Older entries are stored into an archive
- Blog readers may comment entries and refer to them on other blogs
- No entry is removed, and all content is always available
- Blog may have categories that organise the entries
- Blogs provide RSS feeds that can be read with certain browsers and that can be aggregated with other feeds.
