As some of you probably know, every second Tuesday of each month we organize either WordPress or Drupal Café at our premises in Ruoholahti. There’s also been a couple of Concrete5 Cafés. For those who have never heard about this kind of café before: it’s a simple event that basically gathers together the people sharing the same interest.

This autumn's first WordPress Café was about containerized WordPress. The keynote Running and Scaling Containerized WordPress with Kontena was presented by Jussi Nummelin from Kontena. The slides and the keynote video are now available on SlideShare and YouTube, and below.
On Friday the 15th of April the second WordCamp Finland took place. This event started in 2015 in Tampere and made its way to Helsinki for the 2016 edition, where over 200 people participated.

I've had the privilege of attending some great events this year: WordCamp, PHP / eZ Publish Summer Camp and finally DrupalCon. These were all great experiences for a professional working with Web Content Management, but the most food for thought came from a much more modest event: A two hour breakfast seminar titled "The right content for the right context".

Late yesterday evening we launched our YouTube channel! The channel will feature videos about our design and development practices, information about our platforms - Drupal, Node.js, WordPress, Symfony, etc. - and also interesting clips about digitalisation.
Exove Sponsored WordCamp Finland - an event that gathered the Finnish WordPress community at the heart of Tampere on May 8th. We had a group of five people attending the event.
During the day we had the chance to attend presentations and have some interesting discussions about WordPress and web development as a whole. The most notable topics being WordPress specific hosting services, the upcoming REST API, multilingual multisite installations, Security and WordPress as an eCommerce Platform.
We had yet again an excellent WordPress Café yesterday. Marco Martins from H1 presented how to use WordPress as an application development framework besides blogging and content management.
The discussion on the topic was lively, as usual, and a lot of people felt that they learned something new in the meeting. It was also good to see old and new faces and network among other WordPress developers and users.

This year's first WordPress Café was kicked off by Perttu Tolvanen (@perttutolvanen) from Vierityspalkki.fi. He spoke about the current state of WordPress market in Finland and then described the WordPress company catalogue he released a few months ago in Vierityspalkki.fi/toimistot.
