Exove on place 19 among the best workplaces in Finland

Great Place to work gala

Exove reached 19th position on the list of best workplaces in Finland in the category of medium-sized companies. The result is based on the annual research on the best places to work in Finland by Great Place to Work Institute.  Best workplaces in Finland is part of a global research that awards the best workplaces in over 50 countries. The participants in the research in 2017 were 151 companies with a total of about 48 000 employees.

To Zumba or Not to Zumba

When I first joined Exove five years ago, I asked the employees what kind of expectations they might have for me and HR in general. One of the comments got me very confused, as I was asked never to arrange Zumba. Confusing was not only the fact that I actually back then went to Zumba classes myself (What, how can this guy know that I do Zumba?) but also the thought of HR organizing dance workout classes to a bunch of programmers. Why on earth would I want to make these guys do Zumba?

Future lies in young people - spread the word!

People working in our field of business often have a difficult task in explaining what it is that they do for living. “I work as a service designer in a company, that provides digital services” isn’t quite as clear as “I work as a fireman” - and no wonder! The professions we work in are rather new to the world and we realised, that we need to do our part in spreading the knowledge.

My Journey from a Trainee to a Developer

I started at Exove in May 2015 as a part of the annual Trainee Program. I want to share my thoughts about how it all worked out for me.

Having had some prior experience with web development I came in expecting to be using just the same old technologies and to maybe have a somewhat boring summer. I was mistaken, within my first weeks I was working with technologies that I had only studied but never really had the opportunity to use. My coworkers have always been good for a laugh and if my summer was one thing it was not boring!

Exoven kasvu jatkuu – toimisto Tampereelle

Exoven Tampereen toimiston sisäänkäynti

Vallitsevasta taloustilanteesta huolimatta Exoven kasvu jatkuu. Yritys on avannut helmikuun alussa toimipisteen Tampereelle Factory Klingendahliin. Tällä hetkellä työtä tehdään Tampereella kahden henkilön voimin, mutta tulevaisuudessa toimipisteen uskotaan kasvavan.

Trainee Experience at Exove

Trainee program wrapup

Summer is almost over and the school semester is starting, which means my stay as a developer trainee is coming to an end.

I can still vividly remember the moment I received the phone call confirming my employment at Exove and I’m glad I applied, because compared to my previous places of employment, Exove easily proved to be the most satisfying place to work so far.

Exove Summer Day 2013

The winners take it all - the winning team of our summer day race with their medals.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy - thus it is essential to relax and have fun with your colleagues from time to time. The latest company play time for Exovians took place on last week's Thursday, when we had our summer day.

Trainees are here!

Now we've reached the point in our Trainee Program that I was really looking forward to - the start. It's not that I didn't enjoy the preparations or wasn't impressed by the amount of interest our program has raised. Genuinely, I have to agree with all the surveys that praise the Finnish schooling system: the intelligence and skills that young talents have just amazes me.
